Kadesh's Birthday

Don't mind the grim expression - she was a bit self-conscious...

...but no longer!

She is armed and dangerous.

Happy Birthday, Kadesh!

Kim's Birthday

For Kim's birthday we went to an animal park in Hanmer Springs.  The kids were allowed to feed and handle the animals.

This deer was blind, and the kids had to touch its nose before it could work out where the food was.

It ended with a hot chocolate.  Yum!

On Tour Again

We started out for Greta Valley to surprise Grandma for her birthday.  Instead, we stopped near the top of Lewis Pass with a burst pipe and a lot of steam escaping from under the bonnet.
While Kim and the children waited in the truck in a thunder storm, Samuel hitch hiked back to Springs Junction for a tow truck.  We stayed the night at Springs Junction and carried on the next morning.

Rissie wanted to know today, "Grandma, do you ALWAYS have this much washing?"

Uncles are wonderful things.  Kadesh and Uncle Sam busy on a project.

Kadesh's Baptism

It was cold.

Peter recorded the proceedings.

Up to the house afterwards to change and have a hot drink.  Thank you, Hoppers, for allowing us the use of your bit of river and your home.
Thank you, Grandpa, for the photos.
