Recent Projects

Hair raising stuff.

Growing alfalfa in eggshells.

Making letterboxes, and then letters and cards to go in them.

Living rurally - having children understand the purpose of the flag is important for our mail and the postie's sanity!

Introducing solids to the baby.  She's not too sure about the osmosis, but big brother is proud.

Hey, we all know blocks are educational...

The Kids have had the Camera

Meet the Gabbles

The kids think these are the best Father's Day present they ever got for Sam.

Amelia and Abigail Gabble, and Uncle Waldo.

The names are a token gesture to the education the children receive at Grandma's House.  They are not geese or swans, nor, strictly speaking, chickens.  These are 10 week old bantams.  We're hoping they will hatch us some eggs when they are older.

We're Going on a Bird Hunt

We went on a bush walk, very ably led by DOC staff.  The children learned about bush birds, native plants, and other interesting facts.  We all really enjoyed it.

Looking for birds where you'd expect to see them - in the sky...

Little Sister

They love their little sister.  Havah is five months.
